Yes you can use Wintv nova to view FTA channels.
But my suggestion is if you're buying, buy a Hauppage nexus-s
card or the Technotrend Skystar 1 card. And with Multidec or Progdvb or ........ you'll be able to recieve all the scrambled channels available(hacked ones ofcourse).
