Can you receive any french DVB-T channels to view with out needing to decrypt them? If so what are they? If not is it possible ?

Thanks in advance

Now that's a very good question. I guess you'd have to be on the coast and have a blo-O o-O dy good highly directional antenna.

...and pray for a tropospheric opening :)

Thanks for the help, if its as difficcult as it seems i think i'm going to get DVB - S instead. I'm thinking about the following:
Dreambox 7020-S receiver,
Triax TD78 80cm dish with Triax 20 degree Multi LNB kit

Any thoughts?

Excellent choice if you're up to the technical challenge.
I'd stretch to the TD88 if I were you to weatherproof your reception a bit more.
