I have started this thread as I (like others) wondered about this for a while and I have now been able to understand it and would like to share it for you all.
Frikanalspaketet is the free channel package available via satellite. Channels included are the channels that are carried via DVB-T in Sweden. These are: SVT1, SVT2, Knowledge Channel, Barnkanalen, SVT24, SVT HD (Only with HD decoder), TV4 and TV6.
In order to activate this package you NEED to have a Viasat receiver(nothing else will work), The BOX ID of that receiver , A Swedish address and a Swedish ID number.
Once you have all of these you just contact Viasat and ask them to activate "Frikanalspaketet" and give them you're BOX ID.
If you have anymore questions then please ask.
