I've managed to get my receiver locked, was just channel surfing, went onto ch 6494 I think, now it wont move or respond, tried turning it off and on and just goes back to this channel, is there a way of hard resetting? baring in mind i cant use the software menus? Thanks

1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 35 years and is now fixed on 13 East using two pairs of rusty molegrips. Unlike me they never groan but always perform.

I hope you powered it down first, or at least before you re-inserted the cable from the lnb

A little less analogue, and a lot more crap.

That is a fault that used to occur on some of the early Samsung receivers.

The channel that you are watching is transmitting outside the DVB minimum requirements, and will cause the receivers firmware to 'cycle' whilst trying to process logic from the data stream.

Which channel caused the loss ? and have you deleted it from the channel list ?
