FTA+PayTV Satellite Receiver recommendations

Hi all,

I wanted to ask if anybody could suggest a satellite receiver based on the below criteria. I am not an expert and so far have seen there are a lot of Enigma based receivers out there from companies that are either in operation with limited support or are no longer in business. Ideally I am looking for something that is a more plug and play and from a company that is hopefully not going out of business any time soon. I have only seen companies like Technisat and Technomate that seem to be still making boxes, but from what I have read neither seem to get very good reviews. Any suggestions of other brands/models would be appreciated.

-Essential
Easy to use & reliable with manufacturer support still available.
Capable of international use as much as possible.
Hard Disk Recording either via built in Hard disk, removable disk or USB
CI slot for Pay TV
Can stream recordings on LAN

-Desirable
4K
Twin Tuners
1GB LAN
USB 3.0 for copying recordings
Blind scan
 
I use the Octagon SF8008, the VU+ DUO 2 and the VU+ DUO 4K SE.
Must say the DUO 4K SE (also have a brand new one for keeps) is my favorite. Very sensitive tuner and has two CI+ slots.
Takes some time to get used to Enigma but when you have found an image you like it's really good and pretty easy to use.
There is also the UNO 4K SE which is a bit cheaper. Haven't tried it though.

At the moment it seems to be difficult to get hold of a DUO 4K SE but this is hopefully solved in the coming weeks or months.
(Amazon says delivery can be expected in September)!!

Thank you for your response. I didnt know the VU+ brand was still manufactured. I had read somewhere on here or another forum they no longer were operating so I assumed these models were just old stock in circulation?

With the DUO 4K, is it possible to stream the tv channels on a network.

I have checked a couple of sights other than Amazon and they say the DUO 4K SE (there is also a DUO 4K) will be available soon.

Do you mean streaming live channels?
I haven't tried that but I often use the ARD Mediathek and stream various programs which works fine.
With Enigma much depends on the image you select and which plugins you decide to use.
This is a good place to find out more about VU+ (more information available if you choose the German version)

Ok thanks, when I look on their website the last news update was 2018 and nothing further so quite confusing.

I had seen the gigablue device can streaming recordings and live channels from the box and you can install an app called dream player TV which lets you control and stream the channels to say a tablet or phone and you can change channels from your app which in turn switches the receiver.
