anyone managed to find any BBC/Sky news feeds? I'm not having much success!
 
The feed for ITN on 19.2 Ka. The News Desk TP, usually but not always edited for broadcast purposes.

That's a shame, was hoping to catch some running news commentary 'behind the scenes'!! I only have KU band - plenty of satellites to pick from but only an 80cm dish

Thats with a 1.8m dish in Scotland, Sky ones at the top are almost unlockable, so if you have a small dish probably not going to get them.
 
240 to 500cm dish required for some feeds as that is what the major broadcasters use in their dish farms :eek:pic03932_lw.jpg

Yeh the feeds are like 2db lower than the usual Sky News OBs.. must be a small flyaway dish on low power or something, deffo not normal
 
I just get lucky at times with these weak feeds when there is a clear sky with my 100cm Gibby :)
 
I've always struggled with the Sky News feeds, don't think I've ever managed to catch them.

The CNN feeds on 4.8E have been active all day and still going now. At the minute one of them is showing the CNN crew sleeping!

top two coming in at 10.5 db for me. 1.8m SE London \ Kent
 
I have to compromise here with having nearly a 50m cable run and a multiswitch for the sake of convenience in my system..
