Do you have a firewall enabled by any chance? If so you may need to change the settings to allow access to the db.

where did you enable internet on your pc

you first need to make a good network connection then...
to enable internet sharing click..

start > connect to > show all connections

this opens a window showing network connections and your internet modem/connection

Right mouse click your internet connection and choose PROPERTIES

click onto the ADVANCED tab...

now click the second tick box down under the heading INTERNET CONNECTION SHARING

the tick box says...
Allow other network users to connect through this computers internet connection

if you make a connection from you PC to any device, you Lan socket should light up automatically?
im just wondering, you have setup the Dreambox IP address too??

set the IP address up on your PC (ie. 192.168.0.1)
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
when FTPing use port 21 (even though its 80 on the D:cool:

set the IP address on the Dreambox (ie. 192.168.0.2)
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Nameserver 192.168.0.1
gateway 192.168.0.1
enable network x
port 80

OK
I will try when i get home from work, but the lan socket is not lighting up when i connect to the DB, but does when i connect direct to network...

I wonder if the DB has a faulty LAN socket??

Thanks
Again RD

the other thing to remember is...

when connecting 2 devices direct ie PC to DB, or PC to PC then you should use a crossover(twisted) lead.
when connecting your PC to a network using a hub for example, you should use a straight (non twisted) lead

if your using the wrong lead, the Lan socket will not light up

Yes download the newcamd 5.26 in the cam section, then download marys in the k*ys section. Reboot dreambox and everything should be fine. Make sure you download the latest control panel before you do anything.

nice to hear the networks working :)

did you enable the internet sharing on your PC?

if so, you will be able to download the new cams and keys with the remote for your dreambox :)

if not, you will have to manually download them on your PC then FTP them over to the dreambox.
even with a new image, its best to download cams and keys...
the 2 most popular at the moment are
newcamD (up to version 5.26)
scam (up to version 2.3)

i dont know about that, im sure someone else will know though

No it does`nt have the Matrix or Dragon installed. Only downloadable softcams installed. Newcamd 5.26 better than the dragon at the moment.

Use green button,go into hydra set up,select download latest control panel. exit and exit again. then go back into it, the soft cams and k*ys should be the latest at the moment. it will tell you at the bottom date of panel at the moment is 05/01/04 but should 05. its ok though just the hydra team is overworked at the moment. Try S*Y Prima fila ch on 13e these should clear. encrypted ch come up with a yellow box at the top right. ie I S V N (NDS) nds not opened YET..
