Hi folks! I am little bit puzzled :oops: I am in urgent need for information about subject antenna but there is very little (actually almost "0") info available, just couple of pictures and that is all. What I discovered that antenna is Cassegrain type, about 20 y.o. , made of plastic and foldable (you see-able from picture), in light gray color, 75 cm wide.
What I am looking for:
- hear about user's experience using it;
- types of LNBs could be used;
- maintenance specifics;
- technical characteristics.

Found one for sale in UK. Expensive, probably because of the foldaway case.

I wrote an e-mail to the company who had designed this antenna many years ago and they politely sent me pictures of old bucket. In German :(

I will not do full exploration of this antenna tonight.... it is too late and I also wish to have some fun tomorrow. And, besides I can not take good photos when there is no sun light. What I only say by now is WOW- I like this dish! :)

Looks beautyful , do you have the special lnb too ?
Cant wait to see more pictures

Twin LNB is integrated inside. Looking at all the connectors and mounting mechanism I started to suspect this dish was never installed or installed for very small time. I have already wrote to previous owner begging him to tell the story of the dish.

The previous owner answered to my query following:
"the Dish is only stands in shops for demonstrations and then I has it forget in my stock. So you have got a “new” old Dish."

There are some pictures of the LNB block. And manual I have scanned and put in archive in case somebody needs it (which I doubt). Skew of LNB is very easy to change by using screwdriver.

I will probably not unscrew every single screw but there is picture another used did it. Lots of parts! This is not simple dish- it is complicated construction.

The look reminds me of a VW beetle, somehow...
"Designer-dish", eh?... very nice!

Could have become a mark of status back in the days.
Unfortunately, not many people in the general public share the same fascination of parabolic antennas as we do.
But if I had the chance, I would put up the Fuba on my house, just because it's such a nice design...
Have fun!

(Next thing you know, the dish will likely have been modified to have le point-G taken into account, as well as a new feed-horn + all parts replaced with INOX, then modified for polar mounting etc. and painted pink with gold trimmings...)

C'mon @st1, all nuts&bolts there already INOX, I have nothing to do with them! Polar-mount, that is for sure, this antenna is lacking, I have lots of time to fix that designer's mistake. Feedhorn is better to be used original but LNB changed.
Rest... I agree with you. :rolleyes:

Can the feedhorn be separated , does it look like a staddard flange lnb

Yes, sure, feedhorn can be separated from LNB. I just do not willing to do that before I try antenna in its original settings. So, I do not know how flange looks like.

I had a stand with 60mm pipe, but to make it more or less universal, welded 89mm pipe in which I can fix any smaller diameter pipe, like 76mm, 60mm, 50mm (for Fuba), 40mm (who know for what) and so on. Run little bit out of paint, but OK, pipe was galvanized, will not rust.

@Trust1 there you go- hole diameter about 17,5mm . IMG_20150912_150637 (Large).webp
I've tried to catch some signals with original LNB, got nothing :( Should probably pay attention to lower frequencies, and, perhaps, there something to be done with Oscilator frequency. But, for the future, of course another LNB should be adjusted to original feedhorn. ScreenHunter_476 Sep. 12 15.19.webp

Typical old low band lnb with lof 1000 , for sure some signals at 19.2 E

Will try low band tomorrow. Made a clamp (actually it was out of shelf, only enlarged 6mm holes to 8mm) IMG_20150912_195916 (Large).webp . Will give one or two threaded bars to balcony infrastructure, just to be sure antenna does not fly away ;)

I have somewhere LNBs with flat body, I think they should fit to Fuba feedhorn.
