FUBA DAP 2000

Inverto Black Ultra Quad/Quattro is flat like that.
But you will have to saw off the integrated feedhorn.
What's the f/D - erh, I mean - what's the opening angle of the dish?
(I'm sure you calculated by now ;))

what's the opening angle of the dish?
Did not do precise measurements of the main mirror, but LNB should have about 26* illumination angle.

I have somewhere LNBs with flat body, I think they should fit to Fuba feedhorn.
I am shure they will , but are they high and low band ?

@Trust1 settings should be like this?
There is only one LOF , cant you find the proper lnb setting for single lnb .
Normaly is single for C band 5150 but you can change that .

It's one awesome looking dish mate, hope you get it working soon.

Made a drawing. In blue- subreflector, which is basically covered by plastic, and is 195mm as stated by producer. Main reflector has 23,2* offset angle. And, feedhorn illumination angle about 20*.

Will recover this old thread as I feel that some progress is made. I've got quad LNB (hope that is in working condition) and @Trust1 (thanks Wim!) adopted it to fit original FUBA feedhorn. So, pretty soon will do some tests of this rare antenna. I believe this is only one offset Cassegrain antenna ever made!

I apologize for opening this old topic. I have found this Fuba folding dish on sale for 80 EUR, but without an original feedhorn. I think it is too much, but price is negotiable. What price is this antenna worth? Thanks for any idea.

80 EUR would probably not be too much if original feedhon was there. But without original feedhorn it is hard to say what to do with this nice dish. If you agree with a seller to get it for 10-20 EUR then you can try to do some experiments with it. Feedhorn with very small illumination is needed there, something about 20*. And then it is very small compartment for LNB and the feedhorn. You can try to remove the subreflector and make new feedarms and LNB-holder , but then all idea of Cassegrain design will be lost.

Many thanks. So without original feedhorn it is nice decoration only. I am going to think about it...

I've only ever seen one of those before, a brilliant design and comes complete with carrying handle.

You could ask Fuba nicely if they have old stock of the feed/LNB since it was also with the Fuba emblem on the casting. Ask for the DEK series

Ah, second post in this thread, the DEK971
Interesting.... I even know Hungarian guy to whom that Fuba dish belongs. Seems that Muhammad just collecting photos everywhere and introducing them to Arab-world, Which is OK, hy not! BTW, in Page#1 post#9 is my SMW-OA-1400 "Jumbo", Page #2 post #20 quad LNB and Fibo feedhorn belong to me :), I am famous! :-rofl2

More than 4 years ago I have contacted the company, they could find only Fuba brochure, I doubt they still have some spares available. Dish is not in the production anymore, and after production was finished they moved from Germany to Italy. I think that chances to find original parts for this antenna are close to "0". :(

I have called the seller. He said that antenna IS with original feedhorn, only lnbs are different (he offered MTI single AP8-TW and twin AP82-TW for 30/45 EUR). LNB MTI AP8 single - I do have already, so I can take this dish for 80 EUR. It is 100 km to travel. I took some time for decision.

You still can can to bargain little bit. :)
