Well is it working out for you.
 
Installed OK for me and boots the original 2.6.9 image from the boot menu. One problem I can't find the answer to is how do you use FWP with *.nfi images as it only accepts *.img and *.fwz. All the downloads I can find of Gemini and Hydra are in *.nfi. Is there a conversion tool? Thanks,
 
Not sure, but be real careful as .nfi is the new native format for 7020 and you may bu99er your box if you load a duffer into flash.

I'm thinking 'conversion' in this respect is a no-no.

The 7020 does have more options to recover from this scenario though due to the multi-faceted boot procedure.
 
I took a chance and renamed the Gemini "nfi" extension to "img" which loaded fine.
It boots successfully into the Gemini image now. Thanks,
 
i have downloaded the fwp, connected to pc , msg saying couldnot connect check your
parameters, i am sure parameters ok, as i have no problem using the web interface

Did you check the box IP address?

Was this not the question you asked last night?
 
i did i am sure the ip address is 192.168.1.56
as i have no problem to use web interface or ftp
for some reason fwp couldnot connect.
 
Check if other utilities can still connect to the DB. (e.g. DCC and DreamBoxEdit)
That error is a standard message when the dreambox isn't listening for the connect.
Does the FWP use port 80 (same as http)? Assume you tried a reboot of the DB.
You could use ethereal to look at the network packets.

I have no problems with FWP - I've installed 5 images to HD and can boot them all.
Most of them hang up eventually but I believe this is due to rotor settings not locking channels.
I still have lots of problems with the DB especially the Manhattan/Stab 100H rotor.
My original image is working fine with all the main satellites using goto xx. Just need to move
these settings into the other images.

Fwp7020 seems only to give you an option to flash .img instead of .nfi for the 7020 can you rename a .nfi to a .img and install it on a hdd.

FWP6 Beta 2 is out and according to musicbob it should work no problem

guys i installed image in the hdd, booted the db, nothing happen, now i cannot
access other images, and cannot communicate with db even with web browser

the small screen in the db says ( ru DBOX) booting system

please helpppppppppp.
