Alcoa 1.8 ... myself and member Vipersan have this dish ... mine has a (different) fixed mount .. A search of the forum For - Alcoa 1.8 - will bring up some more info including Vipersans home made extension panels thread ... Cant currently find my original restoration pics ... some pics here after i converted mine to C band.

Can you measure the length of one "leg" for me please ?
I don't find them in the box. of the dish...
So if you converted her to C band, it mean that It's possible to convert her to a C/Ku.
Can you send me more pictures of your modification ?

Hi - zorrin
I,v had many different arrangements on the Alcoa over the years .... its currently stored away ....
i will find some closer pics of the c band holder etc later today - i seem to recall playing with a C/ku l.n.b at one time on this dish .... enclosed pics of the arm dimensions ....

Hi @nelson_b

tanks you so much for this informtions !

i will maybe use this C/Ku lnb at the beginning for some tests. the scalar ring have some hole in M6, it will be simple to fix the legs on it. Questions : Do i will need to keep or remove the dielectric plate ?

Hi .. The very strong K/U satellite signals may work o.k. for you with the dielectric plate still in there - but weaker signals will need the plate removing ... i,v used a similar combined C/k/u l.n.b. - but found the K/U side of it quite poor .. nowhere near as good as a stand alone k/u - l.n.b.

My interest was in fringe reception / weak signals .. so the combined unit was disappointing for me ..

I made a separate l.n.b holder connected to the arms .. so that i had a small amount of individual adjustment of both the body of the l.n.b and the scalar ring , to get best results ... .. i will find some pictures later to show / explain how i did this

cheers
