Gamma card and DM800

Hi all
Might be a plebish question but i've got two gamma cards one with canal dutch file on and one with nova file....omly just got dm800 and got newcs 1.67 + cccam 2.1.2 running, I am connected to my friends dm so i recieve nova and canal channels off him.....my question is when i plug either card in does anything show up on the screen to say card initilising or do you go to channel card supposed to open and stop feed from friend to see if card opens channel.......sorry if that sounds abit backward .....just getting into this as had tm6800 before it was case of plug and play...

Well Nova ceased working on the gamma card weeks ago so you may as well throw that card in the cupboard. Im not sure about the other package.

There are still a few cards working on the Greek package.

You do not see an "initialising" message with CCcam. You need to use a plugin called CCcamInfo and check the entitlements to see if the card has been recognised. Then zap to a channel that is supposed to open and check ecm.info to see if it opened by the local or remote card. Alternatively, unplug the WAN connection and see if you still get a picture.
Also make sure you have EMMs enabled (not blocked).
It can take some time for the card to be updated assuming it has valid Mkeys onboard.
 
Depending on the image you are running it can be displayed when you press OK or change channels. DreamElite Blackhole does this.
