GB News HD 28.2E

Launches on Sunday 13th June. Info card has been replaced by a promotional video loop.

Can't wait. It's got to be more objective than the Bolshevik Broadcasting Corporation ("Making up the News, All day, Every day")

or the ****ing Offensive Xenophobic institute that brought about Trump?
Which would be better?
Or a good old Deutsche Wochenschau in English?

to get an idea ,you may watch C-NEWS , FTA on
19.2°E

a mix of fake news, xenophobia and permanent anger! Frankly, any better than the BBC?
Different yes! A progress of any kind? certainly not...watch it! 5pm to 9 pm UK time is prime time

rodscha at least let's see what GBN is like before judging it :)
On the promo loop I see some people I like and some I don't...

yes of course... then we can compare with C-News & Fox news of course!
just afraid muckracking is very much in high demand these days and Steve Bannon loves providing it...
We hope he isn t behind this one.

Thank you,a very interesting biography,it made my day!
A man of action and definitely a great journalist,he could really tell us a lot on the 60 past years!
He worked a lot for the BBC ,at periods when I couldn t watch them,I just had BBC world service radio.
And he almost became chairman of the BBC!
So,he should provide some form of interesting news, indeed!
Our local C-news is a hundred times more low-key than this ,distasteful and aggressive.

GB News HD now on Sky EPG channel 515, still showing promo loop.

These 2 damn UK-beam birds are falling from the sky into the sea at some point, hopely.

Yes tighter beams are the future :(
We may well be saying goodbye to most of 7°west TV very soon with the launch of Nilesat 301 next year

When Badr-4 retires from 26°east in the not too distant future these TV channels may also vanish as all the other satellites @ 26° east have extremely tight footprints

But then they'd hatch another two with even tighter UK beams :(
I know you are right, the development will never step back, the only chance would be temporarily positioned satellite, without such a sporbeam, until the next wouldbe ready. But it would bring a bit time...

Last time I wished ill of a satellite was 5WB as I believed the signal wasn't going to reach me... then when it was launched it had problems, but the signal was strong! In the end it meant we lost some of the Italian multistreams which moved to the Italy beam on 9E - which I can't receive.. lesson learnt :-doh

I haven't watched much of it but launch night looked a bit low budget - poor lighting, noisy video, poor audio sync, mismatched frame rates, and the ticker is slightly juddery too.

The first impression when watching last night was that this is the British version of Fox News. OK for those that like that sort of thing.

clear picture, poor sound quality, many mumblers & no subtitles!
