i am new to the site .
could you please help me which dish i need to have in order to get the german channels like rtl 2 and sat 1 and so on especially for kids .my kid speaks good german thats the main reason i want to have some kids cartoons in german like the nicklodeon and so on
presently i live in scotland (dundee) and which is the dish size and sat receiver do i need to buy .
please kindly let me know

You will need a 60-80 cm dish. Almost any free to air receiver would do - theres a reasonable selection of free German channels. If you have an old analogue sky box lying around in the garage even that will do for a couple of years.
 
Yep, you are lucky, Nick Germany is Free to air, not sure what other kids stuff there is, try flysat.com for a FTA channel list on 19.2E. You can pick up a digital sat receiver pretty cheaply. A Zone2 minidish would do the job I should think.
