Looking through the various channels available, apart from Russian TV, there is not a lot else out there that is brooadcast specifically for tomorrows celebrations.

Mine is a Red label Stolichnaya served neat in a chilled glass.

Ironically, today’s Stolichnaya is not entirely produced in Russia: the alcohol comes from a Russian factory, and the water that it’s cut with comes from Latvia, where it’s bottled. It’s quadruple-distilled, then filtered through quartz, sand, charcoal, cloth and (allegedly) Lenin’s back hair.:-ohcrap

Gagarin landed near Saratov, where I used to live until moving to the UK. He also studied in the city - about 5 mins walk from our flat and where my grandfather still lives. A bit of fame for an otherwise unremarkable city.
