Getting English Channels in Turkey... Help Me Please.

Hi All

Just moved to Nevsehir for work and would like to sort out receiving as many English speaking (preferably BBC) channels as possible. I've read some of the postings describing how to do it but they were talking about downloading mother boards and connecting to PC's etc?! Surely there must be some simpler way whereby I just just find a English speaking supplier who can come in and hey presto 20 mins and a handful of folding stuff later "Here you go Sir" stylee kind of thing. I don't need to know how it works I just want to sit down and watch a bit of TV without having to do a degree course in Computer Engineering fun, I'm sure, that must be!!

You arent going to get the UK BBC channels on any sensible sized dish in your location. You are probably looking at somewhere between 3.5m and 7m in Nevesehir!

You would be better off getting someone in the UK to host a slingbox and place shift the UK stuff to you via a broadband connection.
 
Yes, Central Turkey in excess of 4.5M minimum for any possible chance.

but you need somone in the UK that can send you the service.
if your internet is to slow in turkey it will not work.
if your adsl in 7 mega or better and you tested it for sure you need someone in the UK fith a fast up load as well.
there are prople with wquipment to stream free view and they can uplink at 2 mag/s
put is is not free to you.
