Getting one of these antennas..

I've contacted the creator of these pcb antennas ..and hopefully getting one soon from the USA ..roughly $20 including shipping.
Hopefully make for an interesting project to scan L band with the LPA at the focus of a dish ..using SDR / Dongle..
Lets face it ..I'm just a nosey sod who wants to see what's out there..

Oh that reminds me I have an L-band WorldSpace yagi plus 2.3V low noise amplifier with frequency range 1452-1492MHz which can be mounted on a dish for extra gain, would it be any use to you VS? Can't see I'll ever use it again...

Unfortunately not. Since the demise of OSCAR (AMSAT), the majority of frequencies on L-band are now quiet and used mainly for terrestrial stuff, DAB for example, though you might find something on 23cms

I thought L band DAB was terrestrial? In any case I also think that, certainly in France, it's been discontinued. There was a transmitter in Lyon, not sure about any more though.
