I’m looking for the correct angle to set the polar mount too?
Is it my latitude as below or something else?

Well, first of all: is your latitude 56 degree plus 1 minute, as you entered in the picture, so 56.0167 in decimals?

OK.
Traditional motor angles would be axis elevation angle 33.9 degrees and dish declination offset angle 7.9 degrees.

The better modified motor angles (I use 0-horizon fit approach nowadays) would be 0.5 degrees different:
Modified motor angles would be axis elevation angle 33.4 degrees and dish declination offset angle 7.4 degrees.

In your photo you've put the inclinometer in such a way, that when the axis is vertical (elevation = 0), the meter would read 90; that is if I interpret your photo correctly. So that way, you'd have to set it at 90-33.4 = 56.6 degrees.

Aiming at due south, the clarke belt is at elevation 26.1 (33.4-7.4, with 0.1 rounding error).

The elevation of the dish face, due south, would be 26.1-dish offset angle.

This would help you out?

Thanks for the reply A33 yes the picture I have taken is how I imagine the polar mount to look when mounted on the plumb pole and I just moved it up/down until I got the reading to match my latitude.
Your concise explanation is sadly way beyond what my brain can process am I correct in assuming if I set the angle at 56.6 degrees that’s where I want to be.

Sorry if it was too concise; I thought I'd sum up all the relevant angles, after my calculator had calculated them.

By the way: so far you are doing quite all right: doing it step by step, and checking each step before you move to the next step. That is the way to set up a motorized dish, for everybody!

You explained it perfectly and after reading it over a few times I now have a better understanding of the steps required to reach the optimum angle and I can now visualise in my head how one affects the other so thanks again for taking the time out to explain it to me :Y
