Hi Guys.

I have currently a analogue sytem which is about 6 years old. The dish is set to Hotbird 6 (13 deg E)
I mainly use it to watch the french channels. I would like now to switch to digital on the same hotbird.
Do I only need to change the receiver? I wonder if I have to do some changes at the dish as well.

Looking at the channel listing, I should be able to get lots of new channels by switching to digital!

Pls reply as well on my email cbassens@gmail.com

Thanks a lot

CLement.

Your dish will be fine as long as it will accommodate an LNB with a 40mm neck (i.e. the internal diameter of the clamp), but your LNB itself may need changing. Fortunately, that's a fairly straightforward job. The easiest way is to have a look at the LNB and see if it says 'Universal' and/or '9.75/10.600Ghz'.

Easier than that is to try it out and see! They are not that expensive to buy, but I would recommend buying a good quality one with a low noise figure (0.3 or 0.6 db).
