Goodman box set-up

Hi I'm new to the forum and also new to France. It was suggested to me that I bought a Goodmans digibox for our new television in France to enable us to receive Freesat. When trying to set it up we were faced with a screen asking for our post code. When we put in the French postcode it came up that it is invalid and only UK codes appeared to be accepted. I'd be grateful to anyone who can tell me how to get round this please.

I'd suggest you input either the post code from your old address in the UK or one relating to the British regional TV you wish to receive. Putting in a French post code will not work nor is there a way round the need to enter a post code. The Freesat box was designed to work in the UK and doesn't know you are in France.
 
The Postcode determines "regionalisation" of BBC 1 and ITV 1, primarily.
 
Yup just pick a postcode for the area which you want to get the regional BBC & ITV> For instance if you want the West Midlands then (Birmingham) B1 2JP should work - (thats the old ATV Tiswas postcode) :D
