Google has a built-in calculator

I've only just discovered that Google has a built calculator, am I years behind everyone else discovering this? :confused:

Try entering a calculation like 2 + 2 or 100 * 2 in to the google search box.

This has got to be the future, typing a calculation into the browser’s search box is quicker than firing up windowes calculator tool.
 
Google has a lot of useful features like this. I use the currency conversion tool quite a lot when shopping around.

e.g.

'79 gbp in euro'

Will give you the euro equivalent of £79.

Its handy for unit conversion too, e.g. .......

'0.244 hectares in acres'

I'd consider the following pages as essential reading for Google users, especially the one on operators....

Is doesn't know the percentage of mickles in a muckle, so it's not perfect.

I think it's about 50% of mickles in a muckle. Unless of course you live around Muckle Flugga, where their percentage share drops dramatically.
 
Doesn't tell you the numbers for next saturday's (or wednesday's) lottery.... :p
 
So, what´s wrong with our inbuilt calculator ??

Some call it the Brain Look in any shop when the power is down, no-one know how to calculate the change so it´s time to re-install brainpower
