Recent changes made to Google's search engine have sparked controversy amongst some online retailers. When you search for retailers like Best Buy, the results are displayed with a secondary search box. Using this box, you are able to search for content within the relevant retailer.

This suggests that on-line retailers do not really want people to find them or buy from them, in which case what have they got to hide?... or are these on-line sites just being used as a vehicle to pour losses into and then making them all disappear at the tax payers expense.

Sorry about my cynicism but I just cannot see how retailers can complain about something that potentially benefits their on-line business

No, I think it suggests that they don't want to pay for multiple click throughs, when it would normally be one.
