Hello,
Things are all bolted together, plugged in the LNB to the receiver, connected the Jeager actuator. Got Thor got the horizontals on Nile sat but little other. Should I as I'm in Belgium use Sirius as my starting point. I've read lots so any tips welcome.

yes, you need to align the dish on the nearest satellite to your location, what is your latitude and longitude ?

also have you set the polar mount elevation correctly with an angle finder ? this is set to your latitude figure - 90 to get the degrees setting for it

You can nudge your polarmount over to 0.2e (on the dial on the polar mount) and leave it there, then look for 5e turning the whole polarmount on the pole and the dish up and down until you are in the middle of 5e and then tighten up then do the rest of the arc.

Got it for €15, they really are something else, a more than 60% improvement, I wonder has anyone used one? Wife really delighted with the reception, just waiting for some bad weather to really test it.:)

There is an ebay seller currently doing them for £13 delivered; just ordered one, so should know about the seller's service and performance of the LNB soon.

I did a quick test of the Best LNB during the week. Initial results: not impressed I'm afraid! An MTI Supreme 0.2 that I bought for £6 outperformed it by about 1% signal quality on Nilesat --- which was my main target.

I was hoping to do more extensive tests this weekend before reporting back but it looks like the weekend might be 'sat-hobbyist-unfriendly' with the predicted freeze. When I do get round to doing a full test, I will post findings.

Edited: I should add that the test was performed on a 1m Orbital dish.

freezing weather and a clear sky can be good for satellite signals... the lnb freezes and improves signal to noise ratios

Did you try moving the LNB ditance from the dish? thats where I hit the jackpot, might pickup a MTI out of curiosity.

Snow here, I was outside this morning with the sweeping brush for the wife to get her signals. The things I do for that woman!!!!
