i Have a "Fortec Star HD Digital Sat System" motorised, could somone please help me with info on how to get the best use of this system. at the moment there is a severe lack of programs worth watching.
i am not well endowed with technical knowledge, but understand that i need to buy 1 or 2 cams (i have 2 slots) and some cards? what are the best deals? i like science, sci fi, dicovery type programmes, and a bit of late night viewing.

any help woulkd be greatly appreciated.

The only way to open anything now is with a valid subscription, it is certainly not worth spending lots of money on cams until you know what subscription you will be taking out. The days of hooky systems are gone the only compromised system is Digi TV at 1 deg West and that is due to become secure soon. Your stb is not suitable for card sharing so subscription it is then. You do not say if your sytem is fixed dish or motorised or multi lnb and also you do not mention what satellite your dish is currently pointing at. More information required
 
hi there, my dish is motorised with a single lem. i can point to all sats, i think?

First question you need to ask yourself is "how much money are you prepared to spend??"

At the cheap end, adult only cards can be had for less than a hundred quid. If money is no object then a full Sky Italia package with all the football and movies will be over a thousand quid a year if you have to use a uk based reseller.
