Hi,

I have a 75 cm dish in Gardsås near Bergsjön and all I lose is the BBC and ITV channels (all of them) and I dont get E4 but I do get Channel 4 - I might go up till 1.2/1.5 to see if I can get the BBC & ITV in the future - I used the satelite shop opposite SKF in Gamlestaden and whilst they had no clue about Sky and UK sat they did a good job in getting me a signal on a 75cm dish and they charged me 500kr (I had the dish up already though) - Which I was happy with as I couldn't line it up myself.

I have had advice that a 1.8m dish is the minimum but dont know if you can wall mount that size.

Hope you get sorted - I am loving the UK tv again - Specially my Gilette Soccer Saturday!!!

I agree totally. The day I got the BBC and the other free to air/view channels was a very important step in making my life in Sweden enjoyable. Being able to listen to 5 live football, watch Match of the Day, Have I got news for you, Question of Sport, Dragon's Den etc etc is something I really really appreciate. Sure there is some dross but its great to have a choice.

Thousands would echo Curleyshirley's comments.
Most expats watch Spanish TV for a few minutes then run screaming from the room.
I don't think people in the UK realise how much more sophisticated and superior in just about every way British TV is compared to many other countries.
Just try watching it... if you can.

Hi again:-) I am about to move up to Lila Edet to a house - Yipee I can increase my dish size!!! I notice you have the 1.8 still - Is that the smallest I can look at or should I try a 1.5 to get all the ITV and BBC?

Lycka till i Lilla (lila) Edet
I'm also hoping to move soon , and a suitable area for the dish is a must!

As i mentioned earlier , i,ve spoken to a guy on the islands outside gothenburg who gets the Beeb and itv on a 1,5m dish , though he does have all the ideal set-up,best receiver, etc. so it can work.
But if your gonna buy a new dish , then a 1,8m is your best bet.

Let us know how you get on
