GP 4.7 to DE 1.3.3 - Front Panel Processor Upgrade

I have been running Gemini Project 4.7 and I am looking to try out Dream Elite 1.3.3 however during setup the wizard states that I need to upgrade the front panel processor from version 5 to version 7.

Is this necessary. Will it cause any issues if I wish to switch back to GP 4.7 (I am assuming it cant be downgraded back to V5).
