SWMBO has a hobby of painting small pieces of furniture. She picked up a box at a car boot over the weekend. It's pretty knocked about, but on closer inspection, it's a case for a Columbia disc Gramophone - minus all the innards and horn, so it's probably 100 plus years old. You can still make out the label transfers on the sides, but the mounting holes for the various bits of metalwork have been crudely filled in and the veneer is chipped at the edges.
Any thoughts?

No satellite stuff for the moment (aside from a 43cm minidish that was on the house already), Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 Smart TV & Monitor, and a few computers...

Stick it on ebay and a gramophone restorer will buy it for probably more than you paid... :)

Wipe it down with some stuff called "Old English Oil" it will make it look like almost new.
