GSAT-9 position will be 48°E. Insat-4CR is already there as a placeholder.
12 * 36 MHz Ku-band transponders (11.45...11.7 GHz).
Coverage probably only South Asia.

Maybe INSAT-9 is stopping right now at 97.3°E, for in-orbit testing and slot reservation.
It is a planned INSAT slot.
The transponders may cover another band like 11.2...11.45 GHz, instead of the usual 11.45...11.7 GHz.

Confirmation by TLE today, INSAT-9 has indeed arrived at 97.3°E.

There have been reports by "Gunasat" on facebook, first half of July of a transponder testing on 11290 V 13020.

The last TLE of GSat-9 at 97.3°E dates back to July 19, there's a chance she's on her way to 48°E now!

Gsat-9 has not left 97.3°E at all, and above transponder is now listed at FlySat G-Sat 9 @ 97.3° East
