Hacksat vs Satan

I have never seen a channel opened up (well since tried a few years ago) by any of the CAMS that have loaded onto my dreambox.

I know there are few available nowadays but can anyone say what is regularly opened up so I can test it.

Also the keys available from Hacksat via plug in, are these better than Satan keybundle, can they be merged somehow.

Does the dremabox need to be constantly connected to the interent for these tings to work?

Hacksat is the best updater - avoid Satan its an elderly pile of badly coded rubbish that has a very nasty habit of trashing the image in use if it cant connect to the server for any reason.

Whilst the DB doesnt have to be connected all the time, its far easier just to connect it to a broadband router and forget about it.

Theres not much open at the moment, but try DigiTV on 1W.

Hi Folks,

I find that Demonisat updater is usually better (quicker to implement updates) than either Satan or Hacksat.
If I'm not allowed to attach it, then, Mods please remove it!

Otherwise, for Gemini Images (not sure about others):

1. Download - keydownload.zip - to your laptop/PC.
2. Extract both files from the Zip folder.
3. FTP both files to /var/tuxbox/plugins
4. Change permissions of - keydownload.sh - to 755
(chmod 755 keydownload.sh [Enter])
5. On Dreambox press Yellow (or Green, depending on setup) to open 'plugins' menu.
6. Press Down until - keydownload - is highlighted.
7. Press Enter and wait for download to complete.
8. Press Exit (Lame) twice.
9. Press Blue button, Press Green button to reboot EMU.
(I find CCcam2.0.11 is usually the best!).
10. For future key updates, carry out steps 5 to 9.

BTW, To see what is currently open I usually view the latest keys in the Dreambox section on the crosat upload site. This is a horrible site and full anti-malware protection is highly recommended (I use Linux!) [Use Alt/F4 to clear the ad pages].

Just got around to it (been sorting out other issues) but there is no /var/tuxbox/plugins on a 7025. Also where there is a plugin directory it seems to be Python only.

Where do I place the files on a 7025?
