Listen Up Halley VI - Horizon - Tonight BBC

Just watched it, and, having briefly looked at the links shown above, I'm not sure what effect the iceshelf calving might then have on the future of the Halley station - any comments?
PS: the programme gave a very interesting perspective on the intent, history, design, and effectiveness of the station and the ability of the crews to move it to the current location (albeit that it is now it is now unoccupied!) - just hope it survives, can be reoccupied, and prospers in the future.

Thanks, and that's the general impression I got from the links and the thread posts - hopefully it work out that way and the station can be reoccupied later this year.

I would love to travel to the area, but I know that my fingers, nose and other appendages would be unlikely to survive.

So I'll pass and watch on HD instead.
