theres nothing worse than buying something new and it dont work!!

must admit i stick to better brands when building a PC, no offence but ive never heard of soltec?

buy Gigabyte, A-Bit, Asus or MSI safer that way :)

try a website called scan.co.uk

i use them alot, they are based in Bolton (next to the Reebok stadium) but do deliver.
very reputable company.

Solved - or rather soldered :)

Put my very strong glasses on and inspected the mobo

There was a bad soldering just under the memory chips Cleaned it up, heated up the soldering pen and presto Running like a dream !

Thank You all You made me sure it was a memory problem :D

Respect your patience. I would have jumped on the sucker even if I HAD found the poor joint!

In fact I would have re-soldered it, installed it, tested it, taken it out and THEN jumped on it! :-rofl2

:eek: as mine is from a beer bottle they are green (in fact one is brown and one is green):-rofl2

Those mobos for 775 socket are hard to find at least if U don´t want pci express So I keep it - as long as it works:eek:
