I'm having trouble upgrading the hard drive on my SKY + box. I have a BSKYB 3100 (manufactured under license by Dolby lab). I've stuck a Seagate 300 GB Ultra ATA/100 7200 RPM 8MB Cache. The jumper is in the CS position.
I read somewhere that the maximum you can go is 250 GB so I partitioned it down to 240 GB. I've tried the system reset and planner rebuild options in the hidden menu plus the software download. If I try the resets I get a "housekeeping" message briefly and then it goes into standby mode. I've tried leaving it like that for an hour or so.
If I try to record I get a recording fault message with a number to call.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
