Windows 7 and Linux.

I have a slight problem of some transponders not having any signal at all on Hotbird. I checked on Lyngsat and flysat to see if they are active and yes they are. I have a official Cyfra Dish and card. Some of the new HD channels won't get signal. They are all subscribed for. Is it a LNB problem as I have a cheap 0.3db £4 one. All other satellites from 9E-30W seem to be okay. can't get 16E upwards because of neighbor's hedge and massive trees! Reception on 1w is super duper

I believe the 6800 requires some manual change of DVB type (allowing you the required FEC parameters ) to get the HD channels.

Have you carried out a blind search ?

If not the super model, you may have to switch on pilot feature.

8PSK modulation uses a spaced pilot symbol sequence employed in slot structures for demodulation.

Its regular 6800. I didn't think the 6800 had blind search. I have checked the modulation and used the info I got from kingofsat. As for pilot feature how do u do that? sorry I seem to be lost

The pilot is just another setting on the transponder list for each DVB-S2 frequency. It either needs to be set to on or off depending on the tranponder. I just toggle the setting until I pick up a signal as many satellite lists don't seem to mention the pilot.

sorted guys. it was to do with pilot stuff....thank u
