HDD for DM800

Dm 500s, and 800hd
humax 5400, antique
dell 1530 vista,
dsl internet
My Location
southern ireland
NETAC 500GB EXTERNAL SLIMLINE 2.5" USB 2.0 SATA HARD DISK DRIVE

Is the above a suitable (ie will it work) with my DM800.

Had a load of issues when connecting my external 3.5" HDD via USB.In the end i took the HDD out of the enclosure,connected it up to esata cable supplied and put the HDD back in it's enclosure.Worked perfectly ever since

What i would do if I bought the above HDD is take the HDD out of the enclosure and put it straight in the DM
