I have just recently purchased the following and wanting to know how I go about setting it up to play video files on my samsung le40c750 3d HD tv:

Sansun mini multiplay hdmi media (USB hdd to hdmi converter)

Sata hdd docking station (for turning an internal sata hdd into an external USB hdd)

Samsung 1tb hdd (internal hdd)

I am asking this cos the instruction manuals don't say much

have I got the correct stuff so far ??

Thanks,

Assuming that the TV supports media files, format the HDD in FAT32 if it's in NTFS as it's unlikely the TV will support this. It might not be easy with Windows so search for a free program called FAT32 formatter. Transfer files across (presumably from computer) and plug into the USB port of the TV. Then follow instruction of TV on how to access and play from an external device.

EDIT - just noticed your reference to HDMI. Not sure how this will work but if the adapter has an HDMI output maybe connect this to one of the TV's HDMI ports.

Hi, cheers for the info,
both the docking station and the sansun media converter came with a power lead, do I only need to use either the power lead from the converter or the docking station? Or both?

Thanks,
