I have a few problems with my R/C.
For example I am having to press 'Back' instead of 'OK'to bring up a channels page after I have selected a genre from the program guide .
Has anyone else had similar problems ?

No, I'm afraid not.

Have you tried leaving the batteries out for a few hours? This might reset the remote.

Another possibility is that the ROM contains codes for other (all?) Humax machines and some arcane button pressing sequence has turned it into a control for another machine.

Is it only this one button that is affected? Does the back button work correctly for other areas of the menus? Does the OK button work properly elsewhere?

It could be the receiver - try switching it off at the mains for a few hours. You could also try a fresh install and see if that helps.
