A little hoelp from anyone with some clever ideas...

I live in a community of 10 houses in madrid which have a shared ariel system(headend I think it's called) The dish has one lnb 2 outputs. It's pointing at 19.2 E.

I had digital + activated in my house some months back and the installer showed me the underground bunker out back with several (six or so) boxes all chained together with coax cable. Both the analouge, dvb-t and sate feeds are all in the same cable and then split at the socket.

Here my issue... D+ works fine, but I'm unable to get any Horizontal channel i.e. German Premiere... My Dreambox does lock onto any of these.

Is there any way I can 1. check to see if for some reason the head end filters out all horizontal (odd to me, has a dual feed lnb) other then just blind scanning ? 2. Change it without blowing up my neibours. 3. I read that sometimes the headends move the horizontal channels to vertical ( do I need somehting special on the DM to locate these ?

Sounds like a SMATV system.
You will need to check if all polarisations are being received first from the LNb and then to the receivers.
Maybe post some pictures of the LNb and headend here
 
Need to check polorisations from lnb ? Right, Ok how do I do that.. should I be asking someone or is it something I can check for myself ?
 
Post up some pictures first of the LNb and equipment if you can
 
Have you tried to contact the installer and asked him about this?
If you try something and it is makes other neighbours lose their signals, they will blame you and you might need to pay for the whole remedy, but if you call the installer and he does the changes, the bill would be divided among all the tenants.
At least this is how it work in my building, pending the consent of at least 50% of the tenants.
BTW: Is it one building and 10 apartments or actually 10 individual houses?
 
If it only has a dual LNB it will be an enhanced single band, with a 9750 Local Oscillator commonly used in old systems, all new systems use a quattro (or quad if the multiswitch is Q2 capable). All digital+ channels can be received with a low band LNB, Premier however, are on high band, so it probably isn't Horizontal channels you are missing, but high band ones.

Only swapping out to a quad LNB and new multiswitch would solve the problem.
 
Quattro is that Rolf ......unless switch is Q2 compatible of course :D

I thought it might of been an old dual LNb and a picture would of confirmed it.
