Hellas sat question? Again, sorry folks!

My Satellite Setup
currently full sky package with sky plus.
have an 80cm dish also.

windows xp with telewest broadband
My Location
south essex
Hi,
I've managed to pick up Hellas Sat 2 at 39 degrees east. With the help of a satellite meter borrowed from the man in my local hardware store.
I'm getting a signal strength of about 80, but I don't seem to be able to pick up any stations on my receiver. Which is a Technomate 5500 DACI, coupled to a 1.0 metre dish. I live in south Essex, and seem to have a pretty much unobstructed vies to the south.
Any advice would be greatly received.

Regards

Dave

Signal strength is not the issue it is signal quality that is the key, you can have 100% strength but without quality you will not receive anything

The S2 Beam you will need 3.5mtr plus to receive a picture

The F2 beam there appears to be only 1 TP 10956 V 4123-7/8

But the F1 beam should should be a piece of cake and bring you some channels see here

Yes use Tp 12.606h, 3000, 5/6 (Ert/Rik) for testing, maybe your locked on the wrong satellite.

I'm just north of you in south suffolk, you should be able to pick up (fta channels) on
12524H, 30000
10956V, 4123
12606H, 30000
12647H, 30000
12688V, 30000
12729V, 30000
Best wishes with your searching
