Just joined, have a dish and motor and cable to the house. Their should be (fingers crossed) a receiver for me under the tree to open tomorrow. Then the fun and games will start. I must get down to reading about installation after this evenings meal.

Forgot to mention, the dish is roughly 1m across, made of aluminium, but no markings. A search shows that it might be Funke or Orbital or Gilbertini.
The motor has an upward pointing stub to which the dish is fixed, but I cannot find a name on it.
I'm near a nuclear electricity generating complex, hence the user name and avatar. I hope that all the pilons and high voltage cables will not interfer with reception.

Possibly a Stab HH100/120 motor.

Thanks for all your posts.
The receiver turned out to be a DigitAlb GDS 7000 HD CX.
Now learning to work it, I've found a number of satellites, so the dish and motor must be reasonably aligned.
If the snow stays away here I will strip the system down, marking everything before I dismantel (I saw that mentioned on a search through old posts). Give everthing a good clean up and greasing, then put back together. Fingers crossed that all goes well.
