My Satellite Setup
Looking for purchase advice for receiving Lithuanian ViaSat in United Kingdon
My Location
Doncaster, UK
Hi,

I am seeking some advice on what dish size I need to be able to receive a good signal from the 4.8 East Sirius 4 Sat, on the Nordic BSS.

I want to be able to watch Viasat Lithuania in England (Yorkshire).

Anyone successfully watching Nordic BSS please help.

Thanks in advance

Paul

I use to get tv5 latvia with my 90cm triax on a clear day down south , i have't done any tests lately . I would think a good quality 1.2m dish will do the job but i'm not sure . Somebody near you with a setup will be able to tell you exactly what you need .

Hi Paul ...
Supposedly outside the footprint for the Nordic NSS beam at my location ..
I tested the Lithuanian transponder 11843H

FTV channel 1st baltic music coming in pixel free ...with a good solid signal
Triax TD110 :- Manchester

Havn't tested further but happy to try again ..if you need specific transponders.

Thread moved, therefore Ive reopened it :)

I get 11843H on an 80cm here just south of Edinburgh but thats insufficient for bad weather reception.

Get all of 4.8°e on a 104cm (South Mids).

All present, correct, stable and rain-margined in North Yorkshire on 1.1m

Just going to check 11843 on my 80cm ............... Standby.

................. Fine on 80cm as well.

Hi,

11843 ok here too, in heavy rain with no break up!!

Pete

FTA channels on 11843H also loud and clear here in sunny Cheshire, on a Penta 85 with inverto black ultra lnb
