help BER rate going mad

hello and be gentle lol first timer, help i have a dream box conected to my sky dish but only able to receive some channels on others the ber rate is jumping from 0 to 70k anyonepoint me to the problem
 
Anything from water in the coax cable, to a misaligned dish to knackered tuner in the DB. You need to provide more info - does the system work on any other receiver & has it ever worked for starters..
 
hya sorry the box works fine on my mates dish, the coax i have replaced so i know thats ok sky dish not been used for 5 years so i was thinkin knackered lnb or a misaligned dish am i correct in my thoughts or is the something else
 
Did you correctly waterproof the cable at the dish end? If not it may be full of water.

Probably a misaligned dish especially if its in an exposed location, its where the local yobs can give it a quick yank or it can get hit by footballs..
 
What channels does it affect? It could be a DECT problem.

Was thinking the same thing, DECT interference used to take out my favourite channel NME TV on 11642 V.
 
locates all freesat channels and thats it o yeah and nollywood

sorry lol no never worked at mine, solved the ber now was the LNB replaced this now with a quad
