hi guys
my old dream box 7020 is broken and i need a replacement. i am looking for a linux box with internet connection can anyone please advise me what to buy as a replacement. i really don't want to spend £500.
i have a motorised dish so i am looking for a box that can control it.
also with rf out please.

There is only one receiver that i know of with those specs and that would be Technomate's TM-Twin roughly retailing around £279, Never tried one but has the same Broadcom chipset as the Vu Duo only downside to this is that i think support is sadly lacking at the moment.

Your only other option is to buy one of the VU+ range or DM range again and get yourself a cheap RF modulator to take over that task.

Hmmm, what's your budget? Vu+ boxes are highly regarded especially the Uno and the Ultimo due to faster processors. Don't think they have RF out but you can get a modulator for £15 off eBay if you want to pipe the signal around the house.

There's always clone DM500/800's for sub £200 mark and are fairly good for what they are.

If you don't mind buying a used box look at the AZbox with an e2 image loaded on it. It has the RF output you need and all the capabilities of any of the other e2 boxes on the market.

any box that works sounds good
thanks guys

will it do all the stuff my dbox does

No argument here, a VU+ Duo or Ultimo, and prices have recently come down. Then get a scart modulator. Will work better than your DM and plenty of support
