Help - equipment for foreign football

Hi,

I will apologise in advance if I sound a bit thick.

One my contract expires with Virgin I am looking into a 'foreign' dish.

I want one for home, mainly to watch Premier league football to be honest.

What do I need? What does each bit do? Sorry to be a pain but just explain it as if I were 10 years old.........or 70! :-righton
 
The first thing to decide is how much you can afford. Acard that gives you a couple of 3pm games a week costs around 200 quid/yr. If you want all games in HD then you need to budget nearer £2k/yr.

Then read around the forum a bit and see what services might interest you. Only once you have decided this can we advise on what equipment and dish are needed in Runcorn.

I won't be paying 2k a year......that's for sure. Not that fussed on HD!

I will look into it a bit more, we still have a few months left on Virgin yet.
 
The only one we would suggest you stay away from atm is Tring - there are a LOT of problems with them currently. (Cards not getting authorised on Saturday afternoon and folks missing the games)
 
The best football package apparently is Viasat Latvia, judging by the amount I've fitted. Cost is more like 2K for 2 years, But worth it I would have thought if you have the money and want the best.
