help for Eutelsat w3a 7degress

hi. i live in N.ireland Derry

i have 1.2m prime focus dish.invacom c120 0.3 lnb and cheap satellite finder for find eutelsat w3a 7 degress. i bought the dish 2nd hand with lnb. im trying to get signal but satellite sinder just give me signal only one point. there are plenty satellite over the sky and i just get one signal and its not eutelsat. i just wonder my lnb is faulty or am i doing something wrong?

You need to have the dish accurately aligned within a degree or so of the satellite location to get any signal so chances are you arent aligned correctly.
 
im not sure im doin it right but i just can get one signal from satellite finder when i turn dish right or left. shouldnt i get more signal?
 
Dont forget the satellites are on an arc so you need to move the dish up or down a little as well as side to side. A big dish - (and your 1.2m dish counts as a big dish) is harder to align as the acceptance angle of the dish is narrows as the dish increases.
 
Check the connections on your meter and to the LNb.

Once you get a fix on a satellite, scan the receiver for channels to see where you are. You might hit 5e or 9e first.
