I have no idea about the resemblance between the two units. However, even if there is, this does NOT necessarily mean there is a resemblance on the hardware side.

Conlcusion: it's best to check with the dealer or a savvy technician before embarking on any software upgrade.

To reset the password, just download the firmware to your STB again.
You will need the following:
1- Null (serial) cable.
2- PC or Labtop
3- Odyssey loader and firmware file (available on the dealer's site).

Hi I am from amman, jordan. I recently buy a receiver - Tiger T5.

I would like to know, whether this Tiger T5 has the Viaccess & Irdeto pay card reader. I know there is card reader inbuilt, but is it capable of reading this encryption pay cards?

Also, I would like to know, how can i enter the Master Code, and enter the codes of Viacces/Irdeto manually? and what is the master code? is it 2031?
