hi to all .
i have a HUGE PROBLEM ..
i installed the lastest GIMINI 4.3.1 on my Receiver this morning. and installed the CCcam 2.0.8 from the blue panel. i got some key and when installed them 2 hours ago my Receiver Displayed a Warning Message on the Screen and it went BLANK .. no lights nothing.
i opened the BOX and check. when the power AC is plugged + the Ethernet i can see the Ethernet Light (Green) are up in the receiver but i cant access anything via telnet.
i tried to reflash using the Null Cable but still there are no light on the system.

PLEASE PELASE PLEASE HELP ... i cant get this thing running ????

Your machine is probably a clone and if you installed the latest gemini image you can say goodbye to it.

Check if it is a clone.

what was the message did it say"please contact your dealer adios amigo"if it did then its a clone timebomb and it needs jtagging to bring it back to life,If not try dreamup on a pc with a rs232 socket(an old printer socket)do not use a serial to null convector.Switch the dreambox off at the mains unplug all cables apart from the null cable then start dreamup it will tell you to switch on your dreambox ,then it should say your dreambox is alive and speaking to us,then pick an image and flash it

iam pretty sure that its not a Clone.. i installed 3 GIMINI versions before this . it was working fine. its when i installed the CCcam and its updates ....

ia sure my System is OrG ....

Something about Ilegal , my brother saw it . and he told me ....
i blelive it had to do something with the Keys i Downloaded

I was certain mine was not a clone but it was. Check the hologram on the back. the word modified is spelled wrong, on mine it says moditied. I was lucky as mine was unplugged when the time bomb activated. I hastily put on a Pli image and all was fine.

well i checked mine .. its ORG . not a clone .. cat anyone tell me how to fix this . without doing this Jtag thingy . i seems Complicated ..

well iam good with linux . i have no problems with it . but this Jtag is way to technical ?????

If your sure why not get DMM to fix it.

well i bought it form him like 8 months ago and + the warranty was only for 6 months . that f*G always charges more since he is the only one dealing with those devices. :(:(

i also have a original DB500s that packed up yesterday after trying to download the new gemini image which i have done many times in the past.all i get is the little red light on when i plug in.is there nothing that can be done?-many thanks

I just got hit two days ago with the same thing. The good news is that you can fix it. The bad news is that it is not an easy process. This is my third day working on the box. I was able to get the power back on the box using the JTAG interface and able to boot the box. However no network connection yet thus no box running yet.

Try to follow the steps in previously highlighted thread as you need to do that to fix it. Once I have an answer on the network issue, I wil post the information.

Goodluck... Just be patient...
