Hey guys New to the scene in europe

Used to do direct tv and dish network in Canada. Well now i live in Malta and with only a few English channels on tv i can only watch so much discovery in my life time. What would be the best option for me and the wife. Dreambox or satellite. what would be a good set up and strt up cost roughly

A setup can cost from a couple of hundred Euros up to a few thousand depending on your budget, the channels you want to watch and the size dish required to get them.


You need to decide what you want to watch then we can advise you better.

The biggest selection of English language channels can be found on the Astra 2 cluster at 28E. However most of the uk psb channels that dont require subscription are transmitted on a restricted beam centred on the UK and will require a huge dish (3m or more in Malta) The free channels available to you are a motley mix of shopping, religious guff and slapper-on-a-sofa rubbish. General entertainment channels will require a subscription to Sky UK but will require a less formidable dish..
 
slingbox is in Canada conected to my brother inlaws tv so i can watch my nhl games lol. Ok so i would like to Watch BBC and stuff but what i here i cant in malta do to the narrow beam. what would a 3m+ dish run with a good hd receiver and some good entertainment channels. How would i get a sky card i do have friends in the uk so getting one shouldnt be that hard.
