Although those channels are listed as being part of Viasat, on 5E, they might not be what you're picking up, other channels, on other satellites, share the same frequencies, so although your receiver is stating that you've got a signal it could be from any satellite.

Try scanning for FTA channels, on 5E, and see if you get any of them:

What kind of FTA you would be looking for, so I know what I am scanning for.

FTA (free to air or not scrambled) : try scanning 12073H, S/R 27,500. This should produce about ten channels, amongst which are English Club, Pogoda, RU Music and Shopping Channel. These are on the European Beam and I receive them at excellent strength and quality. If you can receive these channels at least you can be sure that your dish is pointing to the correct satellite. Did you bring your dish with you to your new location?

Yes, but you should try and find an fta channel so we can verify you are on the correct satellite. Both European and Nordic beams originate from Sirius, there would be no need to move your dish to receive one beam and not the other. Please check the transponder I sent you and report back and we'll see if we can start to solve your problem from there.
 
try what sonnetpete says, what beam you are recieving can come later,both beams come from the same place ,5E.

It is common practice to find a sat using its strongest FTA freq. then fine tune the dish to improve the signal.

Yeshu26, just to let you know, I did some maintenance on my dish and checked and adjusted it's alignment and elevation. I can receive, without breakup, 1st Baltic Music Channel, TV5, Vision Norge, Kanal 10 and Russia Today. They are all on the Nordic beam and considering how far south I am I'm pleased to be getting them!

I can't imagine, that given your location of Aberdeen, you would have difficulty in picking them up. If you are still having no success, there is something fundamentally wrong within your setup.

Sorry for my unauthorised leave of absence.
As of now the Latvian channels are working fine. However I am in the process of buying a heavy Patio stand, and then mount the dish permanently.
Will post you details then again.

Glad it's all sorted but what did you have to do to get the channels? What was your problem in the end?
