I'm trying to update or change some of the software on the box but the boot file I got from Al7bar doesn't work.
The program recognises that a receiver is connected, but when I go to download a file nothing happens.
Can anyone help?
 
Hi, I had a Beta. Looking at the manuals the procedure for updating the
software, and the lead required appear to be the same.

Are you using a null modem cable? as this is what you need.

Also I was able to update the software on mine by starting the dowloaderwith the receiver switched off,
then shortly afterwoods switching the receiver on. This is hinted at on page 26 of your manual.

Have you tried this?
 
Not yet - I'll give that a try.

I'm sure the cable I have is right because it is recognised once I hook it all up.
