Help, Need To Find Some Good Channels

hi all
im quite new to sats so forgive my ignorance,
i have a humax va fox with viaccess inbedded,
i dont have a motorised dish but as its on the balcony loose so i can swing it from astra to hotbird.
my question is:
how do i get to veiw the good channels and what sat should i possition to?
what card should i get? where from?
can anyone plz advise me

What do you mean by 'good' channels ?

Your location would help along with the dish size and type

www.Lyngsat.com has the lists of all channels with footprints

The Humax receiver has a signal strength onscreen to allow you to fine tune the dish

i used to move beween astra and h/bird with my old analog pace i think thats the only sats it would receive, im gona try with new receiver hopefully get more sats,
what sat do you recomend?
good channels= mature content any language
also italian would be nice coz i am
